Trina Turk for Schumacher

This new line of indoor/outdoor fabrics from Trina Turk for Schumacher are so vibrant they make me feel like summer is already here (wishful thinking). My super creative girlfriend Tatum is using this line to reupholster her kitchen chairs to make them kid-proof - love it!
More about the collection ... Trina’s dramatic collection of indoor/outdoor prints, many of which were originally designed for her resort collections, are inspired by the poolside lifestyle of Los Angeles and Palm Springs, and also the variety of cultural influences and landscapes that are found in California. Bold geometric patterns are mixed with prints derived from natural motifs, and also designs discovered in Trina’s extensive collection of vintage apparel. The color palette of this collection is fashion-influenced; bright and breezy shades of turquoise, citron, watermelon and marine are combined with smart neutrals such as sand dune and charcoal, giving these outdoor suitable prints a thoroughly modern appeal.

A few of my sunny colored faves...

If you haven't already seen it, check out the article about Trina's new line in the May 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Living.

All this talk of summer is inspiring me to get my butt outside to do some gardening while the kiddos are napping.
